BMX BMX BMX

I've been a BMX rider for over 15 years now. Over the school summers, we'd film edits every week or so, much to our friends and families dismay as they'd have to sit through ANOTHER edit from Winscombe skatepark but without those edits, I'd have never become a filmmaker.

As I got stuck into the industry I'd chosen to make a career in, filming BMX took more and more of a back seat. So, to be back filming a documentary around BMX, feels like returning to my roots.

Filming around our busy work and life schedules, we've been able to film the interview that'll give us the backbone to the story. We've also managed to film some BRoll of Scott at Stuntman Mechanic fixing bikes and riding his local, Hutton Moore skatepark.

Over the next couple of months we'll be filming as much riding as we can fit into our busy schedules and bring this documentary together!

One thing that I've found really interesting is being able to interview my friends. As we uncover the story of the documentary, we've dug into where Scott got started BMXing, how ADHD has had an impact on his life and what the BMX community is like.

As I bring all this footage together, I'm enjoying learning how to craft a story that's longer than the 2-5 minute highlights, customer stories and promos that have become my bread and butter.

Bring on more filming, more editing and more adventures as we bring this documentary to fruition!
